There is another overlap between clinical and occupational testing in the increasingly recognized field of post-traumatic stress. Stemming from the realization that those who come across stressful events in the course of their work may need some support has been the development of various measures of the effects of stress. One such is the Measures in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) (Turner and Lee, 1998). Such instruments are used as aids to diagnosis and hence as precursors to treatment or management of the condition.
